“People Patterns is an activation of space through bursting colourful multi-media paintings. As artists, we wish to show our distinct approaches to similar ideas of abstraction, colour, representation, pattern, and community. As BIPOC it is easy to be pinned down to broader styles, narratives, or assumptions in regards to our work. What we wish is to not be bound to one medium, idea, or interpretation. While containing roots from places of cultural inspiration, these works are ultimately explorations of identity and individuality.”
